The sanctuary is a sacred space at Riverdell and is the focal point for our Sunday gatherings, monthly Satsang events, weekly Yoga and meditation groups plus many other workshops and events. It seats up to 40, and is a stand-alone cedar, single room building equipped with surround sound home theater system, data projector and easy wheelchair access.
Upon entering the Sanctuary, people often experience a sense of calm and tranquility as the natural timbers radiate warmth and beauty. The Sanctuary is a versatile space, perfect for presentations and workshops, as well as Meditation and Yoga. Come and see for yourself why this humble little building means so much to us.
Karrawirra is a local Kaurna word, meaning “redgum forest”. It was chosen in honour of the original custodians of the land on which the building is located, the Kaurna people, and reflects the redgums which grow along our Northern boundary, the Gawler River.
The Karrawirra building is a modern three bedroom self-contained home, with undercover parking for 4 vehicles, and ample space for additional vehicles. A whiteboard, Wi-Fi enabled 55inch Smart TV and room for seating up to 30 people are part of the Teaching Space.
The kitchen is modern and well appointed and the home has 2 showers & toilets plus 3 carpeted, comfortable bedrooms (twin share), all with air conditioning, heating, natural light & overhead fans.
There are also provisions for Disability access. Karrawirra can be hired on an hourly, daily or overnight basis and is frequently used for Meditation Groups, Children’s Yoga classes and as an accommodation option.
Riverdell is equipped with a large dining and coffee area that is perfect for workshops where tables and chairs might be required.
The dining room has also been used when our public talk numbers swell beyond the capacity of our other venues. The dining room is well equipped with urns, tea & coffee selections and a natural outlook over the property at Riverdell.
It has kitchen and toilet facilities close by and an outdoor park area with outdoor dining facilities. Seats up to 40 and there is disabled access.
The Dining room is home to our Morning Tea’s that run every morning, Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 till 11:30am. Its a great way to meet others in a casual and social atmosphere over a delicious snack.

As the name suggests, The Attunement Building is our home for Attunement sessions and as such is ideally suited as a consultation and treatment space.
Recently upgraded with whisper quiet air-conditioning, a professional quality Massage table and private comfortable atmosphere, consider the Attunement Building as part of your next weekend retreat.
This outdoor grassed area surrounded by beautiful gum and pepper trees is a wonderful space to relax, host an outside workshop or entertain your group. This area is fully lit and has easy access to the kitchen and toilets. With festoon lights strung around the perimeter it sets the perfect tone for you event.
The Dell is a serene and protected outdoor area at the north end of Riverdell, bounded by the Gawler River (more often, by the Gawler Riverbed!) with many stately, majestic, ancient River Red gums that have guarded this area for centuries.
Such a variety of birds call this space home. The Dell offers so many possibilities – camping, drumming, children’s activities, meditative spaces, spaces for journaling, for singing and just for Being.
Riverdell Spiritual Retreat Centre hosts a variety of workshops and retreat events that provide opportunities for self-empowerment and conscious living. We offer teaching and accommodation spaces suitable for small and medium groups and are situated on a 3.5-hectare block on the banks of the Gawler River, only 45km’s from Adelaide’s CBD.
