Our Venue:
The Sanctuary
The Sanctuary at Riverdell is a stand-alone cedar building that offers a warm and tranquil setting for gatherings. Seating up to 40 people, or 16 for yoga, it hosts Sunday services, weekly offerings like yoga and meditation, and a wide range of workshops and events.
Inside, the natural timber creates a calming atmosphere that supports both focus and relaxation. The space is equipped with a data projector, wheelchair access, and yoga props including mats, bolsters, and blocks, all available for use when hiring.
Practical yet beautiful, the Sanctuary is ideal for meditation, movement, presentations, and group work. This humble building holds a quiet magic, and we invite you to come and experience it for yourself.
Karrawirra
Karrawirra is a local Kaurna word meaning “redgum forest”. It was chosen in honour of the original custodians of the land, the Kaurna people, and reflects the redgums that grow along the Gawler River on our northern boundary.
The Karrawirra building is a versatile, modern three-bedroom, self-contained home that also includes a dedicated teaching space. It features a Wi-Fi enabled 55-inch Smart TV, a whiteboard, and seating for up to 30 people.
The modern kitchen, two bathrooms with showers, and comfortable air-conditioned bedrooms (twin share) make it suitable for both short-term accommodation and group use.
Because the teaching space is integrated into the same building as the kitchen and bathroom facilities, Karrawirra is particularly convenient for workshops, training sessions, and events where access to these amenities enhances the experience.
Provisions for disability access are also included. Karrawirra can be hired by the hour, day, or overnight, and is regularly used for meditation groups, workshops, and accommodation.
Dining Room
The Dining Room at Riverdell is a versatile indoor space, perfect for workshops, gatherings or events where tables and chairs are required. Seating up to 40 people, it is also used for larger public talks that extend beyond the capacity of our other venues.
Well equipped with urns, tea and coffee selections, and with kitchen and bathroom facilities close by, the Dining Room offers both comfort and practicality. Easy disability access and an adjoining outdoor park area with dining facilities make it a flexible option for many different uses.
The Dining Room is also home to our Morning Teas, held Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 to 11:30am. This casual, social time is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others over a tasty snack. No bookings are required and everyone is welcome.
The Kitchen
Riverdell’s commercial-grade kitchen is fully equipped to make preparing delicious meals simple and efficient.
Designed with both ease and capacity in mind, it features a large storage room, two dishwashing stations, twelve gas burners, two large ovens, walk in refrigerator, a dishwasher and generous preparation space.
For added convenience, the kitchen is also stocked with a microwave, toaster, kettle, pots, pans, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and a wide range of other essentials.
Whether catering for a large group or creating a cosy shared meal, this well-appointed kitchen provides everything you need.
Attunement Building
The Attunement Building is a calm and private space designed for healing and personal support. While it is the home of Attunement sessions, it is also well suited to counselling, naturopathy, massage therapy and other one-to-one practices.
With recent upgrades including whisper quiet air conditioning and a professional quality massage table, it offers a comfortable and supportive setting for both clients and practitioners.
The Attunement Building is available for hire by the hour or day, providing a peaceful environment for meaningful one-to-one work.
Grassed Area
This outdoor grassed area, framed by beautiful gum and pepper trees, is a welcoming space to relax, host a workshop or gather with your group. Fully lit and with easy access to the kitchen and toilets, it is both convenient and inviting.
Festoon lights strung around the perimeter create a warm and ambient atmosphere, making it the perfect setting for outdoor events, day or night.
The Dell
The Dell is a serene outdoor area at the northern end of Riverdell, bordered by the Gawler River and shaded by ancient River Red Gums that have stood for centuries.
Home to a wide variety of birdlife, this natural sanctuary offers endless possibilities. It is a beautiful setting for camping, drumming, children’s activities, meditation, journaling, singing or simply being in stillness with nature.
